Job Summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Store Lead Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring every guest leaves the store satisfied
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of cash handling skills
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the food and beverage area
  • Order, receive, and unload product, stocking and rotating merchandise on planograms
  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Assist with creating and managing the team's schedule
  • Train lower-level cashiers on job duties and responsibilities
  • Prioritize work according to store and management needs
  • Know and follow safety guidelines, reporting any potential hazards
  • Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of cashier experience, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Computer/POS knowledge and cash handling skills are essential
  • Register audits and safe counting experience are a plus
  • Merchandising and stocking experience are required
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to work flexible hours
