Your Responsibilities.

As a Pre-Access Registration Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating patient encounters through various system applications, including registration, clinical operations, eligibility verification, and medical necessity tools.
  • Identifying patient financial responsibilities, including copays and deductibles, and communicating these to patients prior to their service dates.
  • Facilitating self-pay patient referrals to Financial Counselors or eligibility vendors for potential public benefits.
  • Reviewing and auditing data for accuracy, particularly regarding patient type, financial classification, and insurance coding.
  • Applying registration policies and procedures with complete understanding.
  • Adapting to scheduling needs to support the registration process effectively.
  • Meeting established productivity and quality standards.
Your Qualifications.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in acute care, medical office, or insurance settings.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Certification as a Health Access Associate is preferred.
