Role of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for diagnosing, assessing, and prescribing medications for patients with psychiatric and mental health disorders. This position includes developing integrated healthcare treatment plans and effectively managing patient care with appropriate evaluations and follow-ups.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and provide ongoing medication management and therapy for both new and existing patients.
  • Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and medication management through in-person and telemedicine visits.
  • Ensure timely renewal and refilling of medications to prevent treatment interruptions.
  • Educate patients on understanding their conditions and guide them on preventive practices for managing acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Offer education and support to family members and others involved in the patient's care to enhance their understanding of mental health issues and their role in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid license to practice in California with an NPI.
  • Full prescription authority and active D.E.A. licensure.
  • Preferred: at least two years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Salary range from $120,000 to $160,000 annually.
