About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the Montowese Center for Health & Rehabilitation. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical well-being and safety of our residents by performing routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems throughout the facility.
  • Help maintain the exterior grounds of the facility, including landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and outdoor maintenance.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on facility equipment, such as elevators, generators, and fire safety systems.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance-related issues and support the overall functioning of the facility.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance principles, techniques, and tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
