Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, lubrication, and minor adjustments on machines and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment, including pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed and odor control, disinfection equipment, vacuum filters, and belt presses.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical equipment to determine repairs needed.
  • Perform facility maintenance and repair, including replacing or installing light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, damaged glass, windows, doors, partitions, ceiling or floor tiles, door locks, carpet, and/or paint.
  • Operate vehicles for plant operational purposes.
  • Assist in other areas of the plant as directed.
Requirements:
  • High school or GED with the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Six months to two years of experience in a related position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some vocational training and mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools.
  • Experience using material handling equipment, pressure gauges, and precision measuring instruments.
Work Environment:

The Maintenance Technician will spend 100% of their time in the operations environment. They will be exposed to outdoor and sometimes inclement weather. The company service vehicles will be used as required. The Maintenance Technician may serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call.

Physical Requirements:
  • Standing 25%, walking 75% for as many as five miles per shift.
  • Requires close visual and hearing observation to detect non-conformance and machine malfunction.
  • Constantly uses hands to finger, handle, or feel and frequently reaches with hands and arms.
