Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
- Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and record patient condition, communicating with the healthcare team as needed
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date
- Registered Nurse licensure from the Texas Board of Nursing required
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or professional licensure at time of hire required
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- BLS/PALS/ACLS certification
- 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience
- 1 year of inpatient hospital critical care RN experience
