Job Summary
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled SOC Security Analyst to join their team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a SOC Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Security Operations Control Center (SOCC) and ensuring the security and integrity of our client's network.
Key Responsibilities
- Tier 1 security configuration hardening to ensure the security and integrity of our client's network
- Incident detection, investigation, and reporting to management and customer security contacts
- Monitoring security events to identify anomalies and possible incidents within the network
- Managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) infrastructure and applications, including workflow management, threat hunting assignments, threat intelligence ingests, rule/alert creation, and operational maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- 2 years of experience in the Information Security field, specifically in offensive security and incident response
- 2 years of experience in network engineering fields (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VPN)
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Ability to support on-call schedule rotations
- Understanding of Windows and Linux
- Understanding of system logs and familiarity with log analysis
- Understanding of predominant cyber-attack vectors (Buffer Overflow, Phishing, etc.)
- Security+ Certification or equivalent certification
