Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal RF Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the next generation of Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimization of RF circuits, including chains of components and individual parts such as filters, limiters, and couplers.
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including power, digital, and mechanical engineers.
  • Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.
  • Development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years' of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years' of prior work experience.
  • Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem, and/or component analysis, design, and/or test.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and other relevant tools.
  • U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required post-start. U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, including yield and margin analysis.
  • Experience in technical/proposal writing and oral presentations.
  • Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning.
  • Filter design and fabrication.
  • Circuit card assembly and fabrication.
  • High-speed data converter test/characterization.
  • Low Noise RF source design and test experience.
