Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Innovator for Tomorrow's Technology

American Credit Acceptance is in search of a motivated mid to senior level professional with a SLIC (Serve, Learn, Innovate, Connect) mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for crafting advanced IT automation solutions within Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication abilities and thrives in a collaborative environment. Our Quality Assurance teams work closely with application development teams to guarantee superior software quality throughout the development lifecycle. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining test cases and test data for software systems, engaging in code reviews, and spearheading the development and upkeep of our test automation infrastructure.

As a proficient Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will leverage your skills in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or C# to develop and support test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or JUnit. These frameworks are utilized to execute automated solutions, ensuring the highest quality of software.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated testing solutions for Information Technology.
  • Develop and execute automated tests for complex software systems.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify and document software defects, working with development teams to address them.
  • Create and maintain test cases and test data for complex software systems.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure the testability of software features.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of test automation infrastructure and processes.
  • Communicate testing results and progress to the development team and other stakeholders.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java, Python, C++, or C#.
  • Familiarity with software testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, JMeter, or JUnit.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in SQL and the ability to write complex database queries.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
