Position Overview

The Resident Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing scheduled preventive maintenance and supporting the installation and commissioning of KPI Solutions projects. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal equipment performance and delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Provide corrective and reactive maintenance support for equipment as necessary.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on equipment failures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of projects as assigned.
  • Facilitate start-up services to ensure seamless transitions from project teams to service teams.
  • Train clients on the operation, recovery, and maintenance of their equipment.
  • Support clients with parts orders, consumables, and warranty services, ensuring their systems operate efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Completion of vocational training, military experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in at least three of the following areas:
    • Software Development, preferably in logistics.
    • Controls Development, particularly for conveyor systems or similar technologies.
    • Installation and service of Automated Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), and similar systems.
    • Mechanical installation and integration, especially in high-automation environments.
    • Client service and troubleshooting expertise.
    • Facilities and parts management.
    • Project Management experience.
  • Strong communication skills that foster client trust and satisfaction.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC software and hardware.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Frequent interaction with team members and management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Availability for on-call duties, including weekends and holidays.
