Key Responsibilities
  • SCADA/MES Development and Configuration: Develop and configure SCADA/MES systems to meet the needs of our clients, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Operator Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and support to SCADA/MES operators, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to effectively utilize the system.
  • Production Support and Troubleshooting: Provide on-hands production support for SCADA/MES systems, ensuring they are online and functioning correctly during peak production hours.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external personnel to design, develop, and implement integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems.
  • Functional Specifications and Design Documentation: Develop and maintain functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation for SCADA/MES systems.
  • System Performance Analysis and Improvement: Analyze system performance and suggest or implement improvements to optimize system efficiency and productivity.
  • Security and Data Integrity: Oversee the protection of SCADA/MES environments, ensuring data security and integrity by establishing operational guidelines and protocols.
  • System Development and Modification: Develop and modify SCADA/MES systems, including tag database generation, report development, computer setup, and configuration.
Requirements
  • Development and Support Experience: 3-5 years of experience in developing and supporting SCADA/MES systems, with expertise in Ignition and Sepasoft.
  • SCADA/MES Engineer or Developer Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a SCADA or MES engineer or developer.
  • Working Knowledge of PLCs and Protocols: Working knowledge of Rockwell PLCs or Siemens PLCs, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols.
  • Programming Skills: Experience with Python, Java, Jython, C, C+, C++, Visual Basic, SQL, and other programming languages.
  • Windows Server Proficiency: Proficient with Windows Servers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Integration and API Experience: Utilizing integrations (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC APIs, Web Services) and producing/consuming data from various systems.
  • OEE and Track and Trace Experience: Understanding of OEE concepts and ability to apply them into an MES platform, as well as working knowledge of Track and Trace technologies.
  • ERP Systems Knowledge: Understanding of ERP systems as it pertains to work orders, routings, etc.
  • Production Scheduling Knowledge: Understanding of production scheduling concepts.
  • Code Repository Management: Managing code repositories (e.g., GitHub).
