POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Pre-Sales Engineer to deliver pre-sales assistance. This role requires proficiency in IP security cameras, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Environmental Monitoring, Visitor Management, and Mass Notification systems, along with routine maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with diverse audiences, translating technical concepts into understandable terms to meet their security needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Engagement:

  • Assess clients' security requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Articulate complex physical security topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pre-Sales Collaboration:

  • Work alongside the sales team to design and scope physical security solutions for prospective clients.
  • Develop and present technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Statements of Work (SOW).

Solution Implementation:

  • Manage the installation, commissioning, and upkeep of critical physical security systems across various locations.
  • Collaborate with Security and Technology Departments to establish system requirements and select optimal products.

Vendor and Project Oversight:

  • Research and procure security hardware and software, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Effectively communicate design concepts and project summaries to stakeholders.
  • Supervise vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality service and compliance with security requirements.
  • Conduct routine testing and performance evaluations of systems to ensure reliability and adherence to standards.

Maintenance and Operations:

  • Serve as the primary contact for resolving system issues, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure system reliability and optimal uptime.
  • Document all system configurations, processes, and maintenance activities clearly and accurately.
  • Provide hands-on expertise in areas such as CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours based on customer commitments.

Continuous Professional Development:

  • Stay informed about industry trends through educational opportunities, professional literature, and networking.
  • Contribute insights for budgeting activities as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining physical security systems.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve system configuration challenges.
  • Relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing complex physical security programs.
  • Understanding of security system architectures, certifications, and high availability concepts.
  • Proficiency in Office Productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
  • Ability to work remotely and travel for projects as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical.
