Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist 1 to join our team at the State of Oregon. This role will provide administrative support to our staff, including records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to staff, including records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
  • Perform local tech support duties, including setting up workstations for new employees and troubleshooting issues.
  • Route contract RN prior authorization requests and input lifeline prior authorization requests for service clients.
  • Manage financial responsibilities, including being an authorized SPOTS card holder and reconciling SPOTS card billing.
  • Provide backup for front desk reception, including answering phone calls and greeting clients.
Requirements:
  • Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience, including records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
  • An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes:
  • Experience working with a variety of software and/or databases in an office setting.
  • Face-to-face customer service experience in an office setting.
  • Experience with handling financial tasks in an office setting.
  • Experience with being flexible as work priorities are changing frequently.
Working Conditions:

This position will be working in a general cube-like office environment and front reception desk. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
