Machinist - Advanced Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role:

Applied Medical is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Advanced Metals Processing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines, including Makino F5, Makino PS95, and Matsuura HP-300, to manufacture high-quality parts within specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC milling machines with precision and thoroughness to meet quality standards in a production environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture parts within specifications.
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts conform to the blueprints.
  • Manage tool changes and make offset adjustments for accurate machining processes.
  • Adhere to machining policies, Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO standards, and safety guidelines for compliance and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Ability to set up and operate CNC mill machines with precision and thoroughness to meet quality standards in a production environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and manufacture parts within specifications.
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision measuring instruments and ensure parts conform to the blueprints.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information and collaborate on problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CNC milling machines, including Makino and Matsuura.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of finished products.
