Overview Directs Daily Operations Directs the daily activities on a designated shift in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the desired quality, quantity, and timely packaging of products. Shift Coordination Coordinates the shift's production and material handling activities through supervision of employees to ensure the shift's production objectives are accomplished in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner.
Staffing and Labor Management Reviews staffing for all departments and maintains control over manpower and labor costs in the production-related areas through cost-effective scheduling and utilization of personnel.
Packaging Performance Maintains packaging performance for scheduling, production, quality, and safety standards.
Compliance and Reporting Ensures compliance to all federal, state, and local laws and company policies, as well as timely and accurate production reporting.
Employee Development Provides training, direction, development, evaluation, coaching, and leadership to employees.
Material Handling and Maintenance Coordinates with other department managers and supervisors to ensure proper material handling, maintenance, accounting, and inventory control activities and procedures.
Cleanliness and Productivity Maintains company standards for cleanliness, productivity, and maintenance in the production and material handling areas.
Quality and Food Safety Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA, and HACCP support programs, as well as conformity to all company, customer, and government standards.
Operational Excellence Participates in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence. Qualifications
Requirements
• 2-3 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-related industry.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and production processes.
• BA/BS degree in a related field preferred. Competencies

• Integrity and Trust Working Conditions/Environment Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift while moving about the facility. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beardnets (if facial hair exists), and steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
