Summary

WSH Management, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Resident Manager for a vibrant 194-unit low-income tax-credit housing community. This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of commitment each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and achieve financial objectives while operating the property in alignment with company policies.
  • Maintain precise records of all community transactions, ensuring timely submissions of reports.
  • Maximize occupancy rates and minimize rental losses.
  • Develop and implement efficient procedures to enhance workflow within company guidelines.
  • Possess a solid understanding of California landlord/tenant regulations and standard procedures.
  • Utilize effective strategies to recruit, train, and manage new staff members.
  • Support staff efficiency through continuous training and leadership.
  • Oversee the community's appearance and ensure timely completion of repairs through regular inspections.
  • Communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.
  • Hold a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance for potential driving duties.
  • Participate in necessary training sessions to stay compliant with new initiatives and regulations.
  • Be available for evening and weekend on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

While we offer comprehensive training, we prefer candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Resident Manager; alternative supervisory experience in customer service may be considered.
  • Experience in affordable housing and lease-up processes.
  • Familiarity with property management software.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and sales skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and property management applications.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of current auto insurance.
  • Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening (previous convictions may not disqualify applicants).
