Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Imaging Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Imaging Services modality at the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. As an Imaging Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supervising employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging clinic.
Responsibilities
• Directly supervise employees and daily operations in Imaging Services modalities, working with team leads to provide adequate staffing and utilize resources to ensure patient continuity of care and imaging services.
• Assist technologists in performing diagnostic exams as needed, collaborate with scheduling and physicians for add-on/conflicting procedures, and utilize patient service recovery techniques to provide optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement annual competencies to assist with new imaging technologies, raise the education level of front-line staff, and actively participate in hiring, promotion, and course correction.
• Maintain and review daily payroll for corrections, accuracy, and overtime trends, monitor supplies for inventory control and expired products, and ensure staff are competent in entering event reports.
Requirements
• Two years of college education or equivalent
• 3 years of experience as an Imaging Technologist
• 1-year of supervisory experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association for Healthcare or the American Red Cross
• Licensed by Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
• Certification and licensure required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for specialties such as CT, MRI, and Radiography.
