Job Summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to join our team at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography exams on patients, ensuring accurate and timely results
  • Prepare patients for exams, including positioning and draping
  • Operate mammography equipment, including X-ray machines and computer systems
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of mammography protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality imaging
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams and results
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mammography technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • Associate degree in radiologic sciences or graduate from AMA-approved school
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensure by State of Texas, Mammography certified ARRT(M)
  • Certified by Texas Medical Board (TMB), and CPR certified
  • Two years experience in mammography preferred; clinical training at UTSW may be considered as experience
  • ARRT mammography registry highly desired

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code *51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
