Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled VB.NET Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of complex enterprise software solutions. This role involves working within a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support web applications using VB.NET and various components of the .NET Framework.
• Collaborate with SQL Developers, Development Teams, and Business Analysts to ensure all business requirements are met.
• Utilize Team Foundation Server (TFS) for task tracking and IBM Engineering Workforce Management (EWM) for code versioning.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding guidelines.
• Gather and document business requirements related to web applications.
• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of modernized websites.
• Actively participate in daily Kanban meetings and support the project team by identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues with web applications.
• Conduct extensive application testing to ensure defect-free products.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.

Skills Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of web/software development experience.
• An additional 2 years of experience in large enterprise environments may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio in an enterprise environment.
• 5+ years of experience using .NET and or .NET Core (VB.Net preferred).
• Knowledge of front-end components (HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, XML, etc.).
• Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to figure out unknown issues.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow directions to ensure client goals are met.
• Ability to adapt to new environments and assimilate information quickly.
• Work independently and with a team on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of SQL Server or similar relational database a plus.
