Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Credit Associate to join our team at MITER Brands. As a Credit Associate, you will play a critical role in extending credit and collections of Accounts Receivable, ensuring the consistent application of company credit policy and periodic reviews of existing customers. Your goal will be to optimize the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extend credit within company parameters and credit policy
  • Establish and maintain relations with sales teams and other internal customers
  • Release orders on-hold and communicate with sales staff and Credit Manager on issues
  • Preserve good will of customers and maintain records of communication notes and follow-up
  • Contact customers regarding past due balances
Customer Invoice/Payment Issues
  • Reconcile customer statements and billings
  • Email customer requested invoice copies
Customers Write-Offs
  • Determine accounts with potential bad debt and communicate with Credit Manager for approval
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit and collections or related field
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of credit and collection terms and concepts, and basic accounting concepts
  • Positive can-do attitude with a team player mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Experience with ERP Software (especially Oracle) preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe)
