Position Overview

Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance (SENEDIA) is a prominent veteran-owned enterprise dedicated to the innovation and production of advanced night vision technologies for military applications.

We are in search of a proficient Electro-Mechanical Assembly Specialist to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality products to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Testing:
    Assemble and test a range of electro-mechanical systems following established guidelines.
    Perform functional evaluations on completed systems to confirm adherence to performance criteria.
    Diagnose and rectify system malfunctions, implementing necessary repairs.
  • Inventory Oversight:
    Oversee and accurately maintain the physical inventory of components and finished goods.
    Ensure optimal storage practices and material handling.
    Conduct routine inventory checks and collaborate with the team to address any discrepancies.
  • Incoming Material Inspection:
    Carry out inspections of incoming materials to validate quality and quantity.
    Document and report any irregularities or defects found.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
    Employ tools and diagnostic instruments to perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve component and system issues.
    Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to devise and implement solutions for complex and recurring challenges.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of testing outcomes, inventory status, and inspection results.
Generate reports on production and quality metrics for management evaluation.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; military technician training, technical certification, or an associate degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in assembly, inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and components.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Prolonged periods of standing.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
