Food Quality Assurance Specialist

The Food Quality Assurance Specialist is essential in maintaining the integrity of materials, ongoing processes, and final products in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Working in conjunction with the Production, Packaging, and Engineering teams, the Specialist is responsible for executing quality assessments, confirming specifications, and independently documenting results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the quality of incoming supplies
  • Coordinate with various departments to address quality concerns
  • Conduct quality evaluations at the start of shifts
  • Adhere to Quality Control Protocols
  • Record and relay quality control observations
  • Inspect finished goods against established criteria
  • Offer recommendations for sustaining product excellence
  • Manage minor quality challenges and make decisions regarding food safety
  • Oversee ingredient storage and rotation in the warehouse
  • Review and uphold quality standards and policies
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Participate in activities supporting the Food Safety Modernization Act
  • Assist with compliance audits
  • Support Food Safety and Food Defense initiatives
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Carry out any other assigned responsibilities
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
