Job Overview

UC Davis is seeking a qualified instructor to teach a course on health issues confronting Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant field and prior experience teaching a course on public health and Asian American studies.

Responsibilities

The instructor will be responsible for organizing and delivering the course, publicizing it, and teaching students about health issues affecting Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The course will be listed as ASA 132 and will have a cross-listing with SPH 132. The instructor will also be expected to contribute to the department's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant field, such as MPH, MA, or PhD, and prior experience teaching a course on public health and Asian American studies. The candidate will also be expected to have a strong commitment to public higher education and the critical teaching of Asian American studies.

They should also submit a teaching statement and, if applicable, one set of teaching evaluations through the online application system.
