At RK Automotive INC, we pride ourselves on being a leading provider of luxury automotive services and currently have an opening for a Senior Automotive Technician / Team Leader.
Our Senior Automotive Technicians are tasked with diagnosing and executing vehicle repair and maintenance tasks as assigned, adhering to both dealership and manufacturer standards.
Each Team Leader is expected to deliver high-quality work independently and is capable of handling all assignments provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform tasks as detailed on the Repair Order with precision and efficiency, in line with dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
Coordinate with the Parts Department to secure necessary components. Notify the Shop Foreman if a vehicle is awaiting parts, and pursue special ordering of parts when necessary.
Preserve and label parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the client.
Inspect the vehicle to ascertain if additional safety or service work is required and relay this information to the Service Advisor if further work is needed or if the tasks outlined on the repair order are unnecessary and if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
Diagnose the source of any malfunction and carry out repairs as authorized by the client.Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause, and correction format.
Clearly articulate in writing the repair diagnosis/description, as this will be visible to the customer and will influence billing.
Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of work performed as required.Continuously monitor the status of each vehicle and communicate with the Shop Foreman regarding any necessary or unexpected delays.
Maintain the cleanliness of customer vehicles.
Utilize the special tools and equipment provided by the Service Department appropriately.
Keep an inventory of standard Technician's tools not typically tracked by the Service Department as 'special tools.' Maintain the assigned workspace in an organized and tidy manner.
Produce quality work that reflects pride in craftsmanship.Review technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
Engage in and utilize technical training as directed by management and company standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalentASE certification is advantageousProficient knowledge of dealership computer systems, with Reynolds and/or CDK software experience being beneficialStrong mechanical skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with other dealership personnelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record and habits to operate both customer vehicles and dealership inventory.
Must be insurable.Must demonstrate teamwork.
Uphold a high level of professional appearance and conduct.
