Our Master Technicians are expected to work independently while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute repair tasks as specified on the work order with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to secure necessary components, and inform the Service Manager about any delays due to parts availability.
- Tag and save parts for warranty jobs or as requested by clients.
- Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs, communicating these to the Service Advisor when necessary.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform authorized repairs as per customer approval.
- Document all work performed on the repair order using a clear format that includes concern, cause, and correction.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality assurance of completed work.
- Regularly update the status of each vehicle and communicate any unforeseen delays to the Service Manager.
- Maintain the cleanliness of customer vehicles during service.
- Utilize special tools and equipment provided by the Service Department appropriately.
- Keep an inventory of personal tools that are not typically provided by the dealership.
- Ensure the assigned workspace is organized and clean.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship that reflects pride in your craft.
- Stay updated with technical bulletins and publications as directed by management.
- Engage in technical training sessions as required by management and industry standards.
- Participate in training classes as instructed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ASE certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with dealership computer systems, particularly Reynolds and/or CDK software, is beneficial.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with dealership staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
- Must be insurable and a team-oriented individual.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
