Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a proficient Senior Engineering Technician to play a vital role in the design and evaluation of our pioneering material processing apparatus. The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail, possess robust problem-solving abilities, and thrive in a collaborative environment, aiding in the transition of new products from initial concept to full-scale production.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or Associate's degree accompanied by 6-10 years of pertinent experience
  • Preferred background in semiconductor, laser, mechanical, or industrial capital equipment

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret industrial tool and assembly schematics
  • Assemble prototype printed circuit board assemblies
  • Modify prototype assemblies as required
  • Construct diverse prototype components
  • Build and evaluate industrial semiconductor processing instruments
  • Develop and assess experimental devices and fixtures
  • Utilize a variety of electronic and mechanical tools and equipment
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments
  • Contribute to enhancements in processes and hardware
  • Offer mentorship and support to junior technicians

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation
  • Expertise in troubleshooting automation systems
  • Proficiency with tools such as end mills, lathes, or 3D printers
  • Understanding of lasers, optics, and cleanroom protocols
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems
