Rehabilitation Support Specialist

This position plays a vital role in the rehabilitation process, working under the direction of rehabilitation therapists and nurses to help individuals with brain injuries or spinal cord injuries regain their independence and return home.

As a Rehabilitation Support Specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while also providing emotional support and encouragement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients
  • Work under the direction of rehabilitation therapists and nurses to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as needed
