Job Title: Neuro Transitional Coach

Join our team at Select Medical as a Neuro Transitional Coach, where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and return home.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with brain injuries or spinal cord injuries. As a Neuro Transitional Coach, you will work under the direction of rehabilitation therapists and nurses to help patients re-learn daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, cooking, and managing their medical needs.

You will be part of a dynamic team that provides intensive rehabilitation to individuals with acquired brain injuries or spinal cord injuries. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment that enables our patients to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Help patients with day-to-day living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, cooking, and managing their medical needs.
  • Assist the rehabilitation therapists with patient activities, such as driving patients to medical appointments and community activities.
  • Assist patients with nurse-delegated tasks, such as taking vital signs and peg tube feedings, after completing the training provided.
  • Additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current State Driver's License in good standing required.
  • Certified BLS completion required.
  • Previous Neuro Transitional Rehab experience preferred.
  • Previous experience coordinating patient activities (NCCAP certification preferred).
