Position Overview

At SpinLaunch, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the future of the space industry, contributing to a more sustainable and cost-effective approach to space exploration. Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and management of satellite systems across various mission profiles, including:
    • Systems modeling
    • Cost analysis
    • Performance budget management
    • Component selection and evaluation
    • Vendor assessment
    • Oversight of high-level electrical, mechanical, and data interfaces
    • Creation and maintenance of interface control documents
    • Risk management
  • Assist in the formulation of satellite constellation architectures
  • Collaborate with design and testing teams to develop comprehensive test plans
  • Estimate project timelines and development schedules
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in satellite systems design and development
  • Proficiency in utilizing and developing software tools for performance modeling across various disciplines (MATLAB, Python, Excel, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of satellite technologies, design principles, and operational concepts
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly acquire specific knowledge and skills as needed
  • Strong enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges and deriving solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in satellite systems design and development
  • Master's degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience with spacecraft and/or top-level space mission design
  • Experience working with small Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites
  • Extensive experience leading satellite systems development and testing initiatives
  • Experience in creating satellite simulations and models
  • Background in satellite operations
Compensation: Salary range from $130,000.00 to $200,000.00. The specific salary offered will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience, as well as the scope of the position.
