About the RoleThe RF Test Engineer I/II will be responsible for testing radio frequency components and systems used to support satellites. This role requires a strong understanding of RF test and measurement principles, as well as experience with test planning, conduct, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop Test Setups: Design test setups and develop test scripts to automate tests, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop test plans and procedures, and seek input from RF engineers as necessary, to ensure comprehensive testing of radio frequency components and systems.
- Equipment Management: Arrange and purchase test equipment and components as needed, ensuring timely delivery and optimal performance.
- Test Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct testing, post-process test data, and develop test reports, providing actionable insights to inform product development and improvement.
- Training and Support: Train and support production technicians, and seek input from RF engineers as necessary, to ensure seamless integration of testing processes into production workflows.
- Education: 4-year Engineering degree in Electronics, Communications, RF, or other technical discipline.
- RF Knowledge: Working knowledge of common RF components and their general RF performance characteristics.
- Theoretical Understanding: Solid theoretical understanding of RF test and measurement principles.
- Experience: 2+ years' experience across all aspects of RF device/system testing.
- Test Equipment Proficiency: Highly proficient in using RF test and measurement equipment, such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) and spectrum analyzer.
- Test Script Development: Experience developing test scripts and automated test setups.
- Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
