Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Residence Inn by Marriott Aventura Mall. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and register guests into the hotel, fulfilling requests and adhering to established security and credit policies and procedures.
  • Check guests out of the hotel in accordance with procedures, make change, and post charges to guest accounts.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, count bank at the beginning and end of shift, complete designated reports, resolve any discrepancies, and secure bank.
  • Accept, change, and cancel hotel reservations.
  • Use computer system for most functions, select and block rooms for arriving guests, and prepare daily reports.
  • Handle hotel emergency situations following emergency guidelines.

Requirements

  • 1 year of prior hotel or hotel front desk experience preferred, or in-person customer service experience.
  • Flexible schedule availability, required to work day, night, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask and handle stress in busy periods.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, to handle guests' packages or luggage.
  • Must have good near and far vision, including ability to read and interpret written instructions/directions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers, communicate via 2-way radio.
  • Ability to distinguish smells.
  • Duties mainly performed indoors.
  • Must be able to hear, moderate noise level.
