Fire Suppression Technician Job Description

Alexander Gow Fire Equipment Company is seeking a skilled Fire Suppression Technician to join our team in Seattle, WA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Fire Suppression Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and installations of kitchen fire suppression systems for commercial businesses throughout the Greater Seattle area and Western Washington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and installations of kitchen fire suppression systems
  • Thoroughly understand NFPA, manufacturer, and local fire codes for fire suppression systems
  • Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems
  • Work with General Manager, Account Managers, and dispatcher to fulfill jobs as scheduled
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner reflective of company values
  • Complete timely reports via ServiceTrade, Building Reports, and corresponding AHJ
  • Drive company vehicle to and from jobsites and adhere to company Fleet Safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in the Fire Protection industry
  • ICC Kitchen Systems certification and City of Seattle E-4 certification
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
  • Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to job
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
