Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Designer to join our team at Jobot. As a Fire Protection Designer, you will be responsible for designing fire protection sprinkler systems with accuracy and detail to enable field installation with minimal design errors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders and procedural manuals to determine critical design dimensions and design fire protection sprinkler systems within allocated hours for each job.
  • Calculate figures to convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions specified for subsequent production, layout, and installation processes.
  • Submit design plans to department leadership for approval and obtain permits as required. Collaborate with engineering and design staff to determine design modifications and enter editing information into computer.
  • Enter specified information to produce graphic representations (hard copy) of designs for review and approval by engineering and design staff.
  • Make final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
  • Make revisions to size, shape, and arrangement of parts to create practical design drawings.
