Position Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer at Saint Luke's East Hospital will hold comprehensive responsibility for the daily operations of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
The COO will ensure that all resources—including facilities, processes, workforce, equipment, and technology—are effectively aligned to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role involves overseeing the hospital's service offerings and guiding the development of programs to meet community needs and the strategic goals of the hospital and health system.

In collaboration with the CFO and executive team, the COO will be accountable for the formulation of operating and capital budgets, as well as for managing these budgets and continuously refining the organization's cost structure.

The COO will work closely with essential stakeholders, including medical staff, regional leadership, service line leaders, and system leadership, to enhance hospital operations.

In partnership with Human Resources, the COO will ensure that workforce and leadership structures are optimally designed to provide safe and effective patient care.

Performance Management:
The COO will be responsible for establishing and maintaining key processes to achieve desired outcomes.

Proficiency in data-driven management is essential, ensuring that metrics are established and appropriate dashboards and indicators are utilized to identify improvement opportunities and monitor performance trends.

Team Collaboration:
A vital member of the executive team at Saint Luke's East Hospital, the COO will report directly to the CEO of the South & East Region.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of skills, including:

  • A proven track record of progressive leadership within a complex healthcare organization, demonstrating the ability to lead a team effectively to achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a history of building relationships across all levels of an Executive Leadership Team.
  • Professional credibility as a recognized leader with extensive knowledge in talent acquisition and recruitment.
  • Integrity and ethical standards of the highest level, with a secure sense of personal character.
  • A servant leader mindset, capable of inspiring teams, delivering results, and fostering trust within a collaborative environment.

Experience Requirements:
3-5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree are required.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time position, primarily during the day.
