Job Summary

The Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the planning and production of roadway-related construction projects, working closely with the Superintendent to ensure timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Comply with and promote all safety policies and procedures, reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Project Planning: Organize and plan work with the Superintendent, ensuring efficient use of labor and equipment.
  • Productivity Monitoring: Review, maintain, and monitor crew productivity and goals daily, enforcing quality control and company safety policies.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to project specifications and company quality protocols.
  • Communication: Conduct daily huddles, stretching exercises, and weekly toolbox talks with the crew, providing clear instructions and expectations.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement job hazard analyses prior to new work activities, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Material Handling: Develop material handling plans with the Superintendent, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of materials.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a foreman in roadway-related construction.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of calculating and setting grades, roadway construction equipment, and forming systems.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 certification and a valid driving license.
