Position:

Graphic Designer

KBR is in search of a skilled Graphic Designer to deliver exceptional visual support for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED). GED is responsible for providing essential capabilities that empower the NRO to strategize and execute intelligence-gathering operations utilizing NRO overhead systems, transforming the collected data into actionable insights for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users.

As a Graphic Designer, your role will encompass providing comprehensive web and graphic design support to the GED directorate. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams involved in hardware, software, system integration, and data analysis/collections, contributing to the development of systems that fulfill our clients' mission requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical, Communications, or IT-related field, accompanied by over 10 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience with Intelligence Community and/or DOD initiatives
  • Experience with NRO programs is highly desirable
  • Proficient in engaging with senior executives and participating in high-level meetings
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Capability to effectively coordinate project timelines
  • Adept at translating intricate concepts into clear and engaging graphical representations
  • Proficient in utilizing various tools such as PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, and Maya/3Ds Max
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders across organizational boundaries to achieve mission objectives
  • Design visual presentations by creating art and copy layouts
  • Analyze and develop original visual solutions for communication projects
  • Identify optimal methods to convey messages through print and digital media, employing color, typography, illustration, photography, animation, and various layout techniques
  • Oversee the overall layout and production design of publications
  • Utilize perspective, isometric, orthographic, and schematic techniques to prepare both technical and non-technical illustrations and line drawings for presentations, reports, brochures, etc.
  • Create promotional displays, packaging, and marketing materials, design unique artwork, banners, logos, and develop signage systems
  • Design and fabricate wall displays, frames, and artwork
  • Construct awards and certificates for achievements, appreciation, retirement, etc.
  • Develop content for web pages, interactive media, and multimedia projects
  • Gather pertinent information through meetings with stakeholders and creative directors, as well as through independent research
  • Prepare sketches or layouts manually or digitally to illustrate concepts
  • Collaborate closely with a team of Systems Integrators and Communication Officers
  • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to create compelling graphic products that effectively communicate strategic information to senior stakeholders across GED, the NRO, and the broader IC
  • Provide a holistic perspective to the role, including a technical understanding of GED products, partnerships, dependencies, and capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the NRO System Engineering process
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of SIGINT and GEOINT systems
  • Understanding of GED systems is a plus

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with CI polygraph required
