Amásé Stays operates as a property management division within the J Cleo Thompson Family Office. We specialize in managing luxury residences for both investment and rental purposes, with a portfolio that includes over 35 properties primarily located in the United States.

In addition to real estate, J Cleo is involved in various sectors such as Oil & Gas, Ranching, and Alternative Investments.

Job Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst for Real Estate will serve as a key link between the Accounting & Finance and Operations teams. This position is tasked with identifying, monitoring, and analyzing critical metrics related to Amásé Stays' luxury short-term rental (STR) properties. The role requires ongoing communication and collaboration across different departments to enhance these metrics and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Additionally, the analyst will assist with various tasks within the Accounting & Finance department, such as managing property utilities and vendor relationships.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, possess a strong work ethic, and exhibit the ability to learn quickly while effectively communicating and collaborating with team members.

This position presents a unique opportunity to play a significant role in a growing enterprise within J Cleo while being part of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and monitor relevant STR metrics
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive workbook or database for STR metrics
  • Assist in daily STR operations affecting key metrics and analytics
  • Support pricing strategies for STRs, taking seasonality into account
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to track various sales and marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate with Operations to manage specific STR expenses and ensure proper accounting
  • Learn and utilize property management software such as CiiRus
  • Assist in processing revenue related to rental payment schedules as needed
  • Manage communication with customers, rental platforms, and third parties regarding revenue and accounting inquiries
  • Create and document best practice processes
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for process enhancements
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks and projects as required

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in the Real Estate sector, ideally in short-term rentals or property management
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Strong understanding of essential financial and accounting principles
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel or Access
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong capability to manage, prioritize, and adapt to multiple tasks and initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred:

  • CFA, CPA, or a master's degree in finance or accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online accounting software
  • Familiarity with computer software and programming
  • Background in hospitality
