Job Description

Tri-State Bobcat, a leading provider of compact equipment, is seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join their team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing existing and prospective customer accounts, developing long-term partnerships, and promoting Tri-State Bobcat's bundle of compact and outdoor power equipment. You will work closely with the sales team to facilitate lead generation, follow up on vendor and company-generated internet leads, and provide sales support to Tri-State Bobcat's retail customers using company-provided systems and tools. This role requires a self-starter with strong customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of inside sales or other sales experience, a clean driving record, and a valid driver's license. Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact prospective customers to determine their needs and present product information.
  • Meet with customers at store locations to conduct machine presentations and demonstrations.
  • Present equipment, finance options, and complete all required sales documentation, including Purchase Agreements, Customer Sales Agreements, and finance contracts.
  • Use company-provided systems and tools to fully document, track, record, follow up, and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Effectively understand manufacturers' programs and resources.
  • Respond to the needs of walk-in customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager and marketing team to identify interested and qualified customers.
  • Acquire knowledge of Tri-State Bobcat's equipment offering and competitive products to offer the best solutions based on customer needs, interests, and concerns.
  • Follow up on each sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain an active prospect list.
  • Coordinate with customers and applicable departments to ensure timely delivery of product.
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations as well as operate machinery at customer locations.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of inside sales or other sales experience preferred.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license required.
  • Personal characteristics: strong customer service and communication skills, achievement-oriented, planning/organization skills, problem-solving, team player.
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and acts with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new systems quickly.
