Compensation Manager

About the Role
Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our compensation team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and managing all aspects of the compensation program to ensure it attracts, retains, motivates, and rewards staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, manage, engage, and retain the compensation team.
- Analyze and design a system that remains internally equitable, externally competitive, legally compliant, prudent, and easy to maintain and administer.
- Ensure up-to-date job documentation exists on all jobs to aid compensation staff and others in ensuring effective Parkland operations.
- Support a designated customer service group in all aspects of their compensation needs.
- Ensure salary ranges for jobs are based upon accurate and up-to-date market data.
- Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive performance appraisal program.
- Administer and monitor the effectiveness of the annual merit program.
- Provide advice, counsel, and education to employees on all aspects of the compensation program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, preferably specializing in Human Resources studies.
- At least six years of relevant experience, with four years in direct compensation roles and two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated leadership ability.
- Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
