Clinical Nurse II

At UNC Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse II to join our MPS Care Clinic team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with mucopolysaccharidosis, a rare genetic disorder.
Responsibilities:
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care, making use of available multidisciplinary resources in planning care.
- Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care, including appropriate physical, psychosocial, education, and safety needs.
- Develop relationships with families that promote their ability to advocate for the patient and their own needs.
- Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities, effectively using communication systems.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
