Overview:

The Sales Account Executive is responsible for formulating and implementing a strategic sales plan targeting Fabricator, OEM, and CM accounts, with an emphasis on customer retention, account development, and identifying market demand to achieve or surpass designated sales and profit objectives.

This role involves expanding business opportunities within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify, monitor, and pursue potential business opportunities within the assigned account base and geographic area.

2. Oversee account activities to ensure optimal product penetration and growth in sales volume.


3. Conduct visits to current and prospective clients to effectively communicate the value proposition of the company, aiming to uncover and secure business opportunities.

4. Coordinate all necessary internal and external resources to meet or exceed client expectations.

5. Showcase products and services utilizing appropriate marketing materials.

6. Create and deliver professional business proposals to both existing and potential clients.

7. Prepare and submit strategic itineraries and call reports as required.

8. Collaborate with inside sales teams to align account strategies and activities.

9. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and coordinate product presentations.

10. Update customer profiles and leverage information to manage the territory effectively.

11. Cultivate and enhance relationships with key contacts within client organizations, including purchasing, engineering, and upper management.

12. Actively seek customer feedback and assist in resolving any issues that may arise.

13. Attend relevant trade shows as necessary.

14. Complete and submit business expense reports as required.


This position requires access to information or hardware governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Therefore, candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year institution or four years of relevant sales/marketing experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Experience in technical sales or electronic component distribution is preferred, with a background in fasteners considered a plus.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Familiarity with sales tracking software, particularly CRM systems, is advantageous.

Frequent travel is necessary.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.

Effective time management capabilities.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Research and analytical skills to evaluate sales data and trends for opportunity identification.

Negotiation skills are required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Financial acumen to understand sales profitability and opportunities.
