Patient Access Coordinator

HSS is seeking a skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth registration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch customer service to all patients, visitors, and customers
- Prioritize patient flow and ensure timely registration
- Verify insurance and obtain benefits
- Triage phone calls and schedule appointments
- Respond to patient, visitor, and customer inquiries
- Obtain patient demographics, personal information, and medical history
- Collect payments and process transactions
- Perform other related duties as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in office software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
- Knowledge of healthcare and health insurance
- Familiarity with medical terminology
