Position Overview

Are you enthusiastic about nurturing young minds and creating a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for children to thrive? The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated After School Program Coordinator. In this position, you will oversee the implementation of daily educational activities, facilitate engaging games, and ensure a supportive environment for school-aged children.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute stimulating daily educational activities
  • Lead and engage in recreational games and group activities
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians
  • Keep accurate attendance records and supervise children effectively
  • Organize and conduct parent-teacher meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a field related to youth development
  • 6 months to 1 year of pertinent experience
  • Proven ability to connect with children from various backgrounds
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory
