Job DescriptionJob Title: After School Program Lead Teacher

Job Summary:
The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a qualified After School Program Lead Teacher to provide a safe and engaging environment for school-age children. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing daily lesson plans, organizing activities, and maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead daily lesson plans that promote learning and fun
  • Organize and participate in games and activities that cater to diverse interests
  • Provide weekly lesson plans to parents and maintain open communication
  • Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and activity participation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a youth development related field or equivalent experience
  • 6-12 months of experience working with school-age children
  • Ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds and ages
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certifications
