Environmental Health Specialist

Terracon is seeking an Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting regulated building materials assessments and surveys to sample, measure and analyze air, water, material, and soil. You will also provide project monitoring on a regular basis during hazardous materials abatement projects.

- Provide project monitoring on a regular basis during hazardous materials abatement projects.
- Identify, evaluate and recommend risk and remediation strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and contract documents (technical specifications).
- Prepare reports that include findings of hazardous building materials assessments and summarizing project monitoring activities.
- Analyze asbestos air samples as needed (NIOSH 582 training will be provided if required).
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related science.
- 1 year related field experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
- Must be willing to work day, swing and night shifts.
- Preferred Certification: Certification in field of expertise preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Hazmat-related certifications a plus, however training may be provided based on competency of the applicant.
