Pharmacist - Long Term Care Full Time 40 Hours

HealthDirect Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to oversee the operations of our Pharmacy department in a Long Term Care setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and adhering to our Standard of Practice, ensuring the highest quality healthcare services are provided to our customers.
Responsibilities:- Dispensing and Quality Assurance: Follow our Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions, perform quality assurance steps to ensure accurate prescriptions, and report dispensing incidents in a timely manner.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy.
- Inventory Management: Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while maintaining stock levels for customer needs.
- Customer Service: Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
- Loss Prevention: Implement and enforce loss prevention policies, reporting deviations to the Loss Prevention team.
- Environmental Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment.
- Professional Relationships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with developments in Pharmacy and Healthcare Services, integrating new knowledge into your practice.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Communication: Facilitate communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
- On-Call Schedule: Work an on-call schedule, as required.
- Performance Management: Interface with Facility Managers to complete hiring practices, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy department personnel.
- Clinical Functions: Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
- Financial Management: Assist in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within established guidelines.
- Auditing and Compliance: Interface with auditors and outside agencies, as needed.
- Training and Development: Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Education: Minimum BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
- License and Registration: Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk throughout the majority of the shift.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test.
- Drug Test: Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.
- Additional Eligibility Requirements: Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.
- HIPAA Privacy Course: Completion of the HIPAA Privacy Course.
- HIPAA Security Course: Completion of the HIPAA Security Course.
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Course: Completion of the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Course.
- HIPAA Privacy CE Mastery Exam: Completion of the HIPAA Privacy CE Mastery Exam.
- HIPAA Security CE Mastery Exam: Completion of the HIPAA Security CE Mastery Exam.
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse CE Mastery Exam: Completion of the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse CE Mastery Exam.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
- Keyboarding Skills: Basic keyboarding skills.
- Customer Service: Provide timely and accurate responses to all business associates and customers.
