Collateral Specialist I Job Description

Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) is a leading captive finance company for one of the world's top automakers, offering a range of iconic brands including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroen, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, Vauxhall, Free2move, and Leasys.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Collateral Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our collateral management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our collateral processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of Stellantis Financial collateral by working with other SFS departments, partners, vendors, and dealers to ensure timely receipt and transfer of collateral documents to the custodian.
  • Act as a liaison between SFS Alliance partners, banks, affiliates, and vendors on collateral exceptions, securitizations, close-outs, and other activities involving SFS collateral.
  • Work with electronic files and documents provided by vendors, partners, banks, and affiliates to clear outstanding exceptions for missing documents and title paperwork in accordance with SFS policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports for various business units and by status for use by staff and management, and maintain production statistics.
  • Escalate unresolved collateral and titling issues to Lead/Supervisor/Manager for further action.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to two years of experience in collateral management or similar processes preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
