About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with end-stage renal disease. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care, providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
  • Technician Duties: Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Building Relationships: Develop long-term relationships with patients, educating them on kidney dialysis-related topics and providing emotional support.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfort working around blood and needles.
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
