N2S Healthcare Staffing Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in North Carolina. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for prioritizing and coordinating ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Exam Coordination: Review requests and confirm orders for each patient, ensuring timely and accurate completion of exams.
- Assisting Radiologists: Assist radiologists during invasive procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Quality Control: Assess exam quality and improve technique to optimize department efficiency and patient care.
- Patient-Centered Care: Support our Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by recognizing every staff member as a caregiver, promoting a culture of compassion and respect.
- Equipment Management: Report equipment issues to appropriate personnel, ensuring seamless operation of ultrasound and related equipment.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage the Radiology computer system for exam entries and supplies, maintaining an organized work area and ensuring sufficient stock.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to department regulations with a professional demeanor, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Certification: Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) is required.
- Education: Completion of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program is preferred.
