The Senior Manager of Business Applications plays a crucial role in providing extensive leadership, strategic direction, and effective management support for corporate product suites, including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System).

The Senior Manager will oversee technical projects aimed at streamlining, automating, and scaling business applications while serving as a thought leader contributing to programs that evaluate and implement enterprise-level technology platforms.

Expert in standardization and change management methodologies, the Senior Manager is vital in fostering adaptability and facilitating positive transformations within the organization.

This position merges strategic insight with practical experience, contributing to the overall success of business initiatives across a diverse landscape of manufacturing environments.

The Senior Manager will lead and mentor the Business Applications Manager and team, engage with executive stakeholders, and drive significant improvements through an agile development approach.

Responsibilities

  • Experienced Senior Leader
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, integration, and platform teams to ensure solutions align with target architecture and are cost-effective to meet business objectives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and training, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Make staffing decisions based on business requirements and individual performance.
  • Work with both internal and external teams and resources, ensuring effective support and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of organization-wide systems standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, managing escalations from business and production teams while providing high-quality service to support customers and production operations.
  • Communicate the overarching vision to business and IT stakeholders at all levels to achieve alignment with target state architecture and roadmap.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, forums, interviews, and other business interactions, employing familiar tools and techniques for status assessments, solutioning, visualization, and implementation of various business challenges.
  • Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable evolving business and operating models.
  • Lead architecture and technical activities for ERP and MES assessments, defining the technology vision and strategy for current and future ERP and MES products.
Qualifications

Requirements:
  • B.S. in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in ERP solutions (Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, Workday, etc.).
  • 7+ years of experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Experience with MES solutions (Siemens, Plex, Infor for Manufacturing, etc.) is a plus.
  • Elementary English proficiency communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong leadership and personal productivity skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Proficient in planning, organizing, prioritizing, executing, and delegating work while responding to changing needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients effectively.
  • A track record of engaging with CxOs and key decision-makers, contributing to their Finance and Digital transformation journey in the cloud.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in a highly regulated or secure business environment is a plus.
  • Excellent change management skills, with experience in assessing change impact and delivering targeted activities for various stakeholder groups.
  • Strong project management skills focused on planning and organization, contributing to successful project outcomes.
